Well, this family got together the weekend after Christmas. They invited me to come and do some portraits for them and at first I hesitated. Could I really accommodate 28 people?? Was I crazy?? After a brief discussion of how 28 people would be hard to all get perfect, we decided I would give it a whirl. I had a wonderful time and even was able to do a few smaller family portraits while I was there…. I am still working on those!!! I will let you all know when they are ready!!!

Let me start off with how lucky was I!!!????!!  My baby brother and his wife (I would call her my sister, but don’t want to confuse anyone ) allowed me to be present for their first child’s birth!!  It was absolutely incredible….  I cannot even put into words how fun it was!  I am not sure why they let me.  I know they didn’t want to have to worry about pictures, but I think they also felt bad for me always being the one in the bed before!  hahaha 

Anyway, they got to the hospital about 7am.  I didn’t get there till about 6pm, so they had a full day by themselves!  It was so great to be there while Lara was going through different times in the labor!!  She had an epidural so we talked through the whole thing!!  Things still were going slow, till they came in a put her on her side.  Baby didn’t like that at all, so they put her back to her back.  I said well hopefully that shuffled the baby loose.  Nurse left the room and a short time later, Lara had this look of wow, that is different….  I made Ben get the nurse, but doc walked in and he checked her and said She’s good!! Let’s go!!!  YAY!!!!

So Welcome Baby Abigail!!!  I cannot wait to see her again!!
